Story behind the corpse

What we call an "Afterlife" is also a realm of which human's souls are brought to after they have died. This realm is controlled by a being we all call the Reaper. He is a figure of death that wears a black cloak and is usually seen wielding a giant scythe. He is the being who escorts you to the afterlife realm. Now, the afterlife realm is sometimes only a temporary stay. The reaper is to decide the fate of your soul. Shal it be eaten by him? Tossed into the underworld? or for it to roam free in such a complex world? Only a few souls have escaped the grips of the Reaper. Their souls are to stay on earth and "haunt" those who live on it. Now that i have explained to you the realm how about i explain to you the species of the undead?

The undead, when brought to the realm of afterlife, are usually skeletons, spirits, zombies, or some other unlifely forms. The undead were brought to this world by the dragon prophecy war. But the afterlife is one of few realms that still survive. The door that connected the human realm and this realm was only open for a short amount of time. Eventually, the reaper closed it. This is how we have some undead on earth now.

Some undead struck deals with the Reaper. Some tried to make a deal but were only used to feed the reaper. Thats how tricky he is. Every character on this site will some day meet the reaper face to face in a rp thread. He will visit once the time comes (if you are defeated in battle).
